new studio equipment

For those of you who like that kind of thing, I'll tell you about my home studio, as it currently stands.
It is based around a high-spec Core2Duo PC with over 1Tb of storage, a Tascam FW1082 control surface/soundcard, two 19" widescreen monitors, and running professional multitrack recording and editing software. There's also a swathe of onboard VST instruments and effects, controlled by a MIDI master keyboard.

My studio room also contains my Yamaha DTX digital drumkit, Peavey International series bass, Behringer Strat copy, acoustic guitar, and Behringer large condenser microphone.
There's also a load of assorted hand percussion in a chest of drawers!

It can be used for recording solo, one instrument at a time, or with a couple of musicians simultaneously. It's not really geared up for a full band!

I'm also able to record and score radio drama and commercials here.

welcome to the new-look website

After several years in the doldrums, the time had come to give my website a brush of new paint - so here it is!
Quite the change isn't it? From black, white and grey to colour photos and spangly pink headings...like emerging from a cold winter into the bright spring, if you like that kind of metaphor.
It's a little basic here at the moment, but over the next few weeks, I'll be adding more content to the site, and converting my media clips from the outdated RealMedia into a better format.
I'll also be changing the direction somewhat. Rather than being a catch-all site for everything that I do, I'll be concentrating on my theatre, television, radio and musical activities. I also do some technical work which isn't really relevant this site's new direction.
So....have a browse, see if you like anything, and if you fancy, drop me a line.
